Out of the Blue

On a warm boat ride in Sardinia this hulking rock jutted out of the tranquil sea in Sardinia and gave me chills. This painting was created using India ink, hard pastel and alcohol underpainting, pumice infused gesso and finally soft pastels. This painting earned an American Art Company award by juror Albert Handell in the 2022 Northwest Pastel Society International Open show.
